Buy patterns here too!
Welcome!
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my blog! If you enjoy hand sewing and applique, and are looking for something fun and unique to stitch up, you've come to the right place! All of my pattern instructions are very easy to follow and require basic stitches such as blanket stitch, straight stitch, and french knots. I work mostly with wool and wool felt. The patterns that I have designed are for penny rugs and candle mats. Most are very quick projects with a touch of whimsy. I hope you enjoy your visit and will be one of my faithful followers! God Bless!
You can purchase any of my patterns (instant downloads) by clicking on the photos or go to my web site and purchase the paper patterns there. Thanks for stopping by!

About Me
- Kathy
- New Ipswich, New Hampshire, United States
- I love sewing! I started to hand sew when I was in elementary school. Of course over the years I tried many different crafts. My mom taught me to sew, hand embroider, and knit. My grandmother taught me to crochet. What precious memories I have of those times! As much as I've always loved working with yarn, nothing quite compares to my love of making penny rugs. I stumbled across them on ebay and instantly knew I could design my own and be happy stitching them up forever! As time went on, and they started becoming quite popular, people began asking if I made patterns. Well, I thought I would give it a try, and voila! Penny Lane Primitives was born! At the moment I have 66 designs with about a million more in my head! I recently retired from my job of 21 years in the local elementary school in my small New England town. So now I have more time than ever to devote to my little business! I feel so blessed to be doing what I love!

Hi everyone & Happy Saturday!
I recently made a page on facebook for my little business and was hoping to get some 'likes'. If you are visiting me here could you take a quick second to click on the facebook link to the left and 'like' my page? Thanks so much and thanks for stopping by!
While I'm posting...here is a photo of some little stones and a shell that my very talented daughter painted...this is just a small sampling of what she does. I suggested that she make necklaces out of shells. Wouldn't that monarch butterfly look pretty hanging from a chain? The stones make nice paper weights. Let me know what you think.
Have a nice holiday weekend! Hope the weather is better where you are than it is here...rain, rain, and more rain!
