- I love sewing! I started to hand sew when I was in elementary school. Of course over the years I tried many different crafts. My mom taught me to sew, hand embroider, and knit. My grandmother taught me to crochet. What precious memories I have of those times! As much as I've always loved working with yarn, nothing quite compares to my love of making penny rugs. I stumbled across them on ebay and instantly knew I could design my own and be happy stitching them up forever! As time went on, and they started becoming quite popular, people began asking if I made patterns. Well, I thought I would give it a try, and voila! Penny Lane Primitives was born! At the moment I have 66 designs with about a million more in my head! I recently retired from my job of 21 years in the local elementary school in my small New England town. So now I have more time than ever to devote to my little business! I feel so blessed to be doing what I love!

Well....here I am world! It took a while for me to arrive, but after a bit of confusion and a lot of help, I made it! How do you like my blog template? Isn't it just too prim??? I love the style. My thanks to Carrie at Harvest Moon Hill Graphics for this beautiful design, and also many thanks to Ann at Sweet Annie's Graphics for getting this up and running. Very talented ladies! Now to wait for some visitors....hopefully that won't take too long. To anyone reading this...thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
